2011 is a special year for Williamson County as we celebrate the centennial of the historic county courthouse! For the past 100 years, the Williamson County Courthouse has been the center of many significant events in our history and in our citizens' lives. To help celebrate this special year, we're selling a special, limited edition centennial courthouse ornament. You can stop by the museum gift shop to purchase, or on the gift shop page of this website. Sip, Savor, & Shop: The Georgetown Swirl
&Wine Auction

  Enjoy an evening of shopping in downtown while sampling Texas wines and dining on local restaurants' cuisine. Live jazz music will help set the festive mood. Shoppers can also find one-of-a-kind gifts at participating retailers while sampling rich desserts and coffees. Only 350 tickets will be sold and are available online for $30.(Swirl.Georgetown.org)

Buy opportunities to win several groupings of wines by purchasing Wine Auction Tickets at the Williamson Museum & Visitor Info Center for $5 each or 5/$20. If you'd like to donate wine for the auction, please bring wines to the Museum during business hours.

Who we Are

The Williamson Museum offers free and exciting hands-on educational programs to the public through innovative exhibits, tours and outreach.  We also host the following annual events: "Chisholm Trail Days" at San Gabriel Park, "Pioneer Day" at Old Settlers Park, and "Archeology Day" at Berry Springs Park & Preserve.

February 17th & 18th- Free tours of the Courthouse

Every Friday and Saturday afternoon we have FREE tours of our historic Williamson County Courthouse. Tours are held both days, at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm.  You meet at the Williamson Museum, where you get set up with one of our fabulous tour guides and the journey begins. Tours are usually 45minutes and are mostly standing and walking. *Handicapped access is avaailable. We ask that you call ahead if you're coming with a group more than 7. Call 512-943-1670 for more information.
